Three months ago, we installed a new rolling mill in our material preparation department. Below, we report on our experiences.
Rolling mill – industrial machine used to shape, thin and smooth materials through continuous rolling. The rolling mill enables precise dimensional accuracy, good surface quality and large-scale, economical production.
According to our colleagues, the most important difference is that, thanks to the new machine’s self-regulating electronics, it cannot be “overdriven”. This means that the machine cannot be damaged during operation. Before any damage can occur to any structural component of the machine, it automatically shuts down.
They also emphasized that this machine is much quieter, which significantly improves the working conditions for the machine and the people working in the area.
Thanks to the numerous settings, both automatic and manual, and the easy-to-understand control panel, machine operators can make much more precise adjustments in fewer steps and in less time, enabling us to produce rubber material of consistent quality and well prepared for further manufacturing processes.
We can therefore say that we made the right decision when we opted for investment instead of continuous improvements.
