KTT Sealing Technologies at the BearingNet user meeting for the first time this year

Another opportunity, another platform. Our colleagues – Péter Farkas Process Developer, Attila Pósa Sales and Dávid Wolf Customer Project Manager – represented our company.

About the BearingNet user meetings

The BearingNet trading platform was launched 25 years ago. The platform allows companies interested in bearing and drive train technology to trade with each other over the Internet. Today, BearingNet has become the world’s largest bearing and power transmission search engine and information service. It provides instant access to the inventory of more than 2000 power transmission and bearing distributors worldwide.

The annual user meetings provide a great opportunity to meet distributors and manufacturers from all over the world. A mix of business and pleasure, where you can network over dinner or even at the bar. At these events, BearingNet members can meet new business partners and discover new opportunities. They also have the opportunity to put a face to a familiar name.

Participating members included both manufacturing and trading companies. All came to the conference with the intention of exploring market opportunities from a manufacturing, commercial and supplier perspective. They were looking for suppliers who could complement their portfolio or provide the parts needed for production. If they are lucky, they may even find a partner that can manufacture the specific product they need.

About this year’s user meeting

News: 2024.10.04-06. BearingNet user meeting location: the Savoyen Hotel, Vienna, Austria

This year’s BearingNet annual meeting took place from 4-6 October at the Savoyen Hotel near the Belvedere in Vienna. The event was attended by 500 delegates from over 40 countries. KTT Sealing Technologies was among the 50 companies attending for the first time, but 167 companies were returning participants.

The venue for the meeting was the hotel’s conference room, which was filled with tables for the number of companies attending, where each company could host the companies they had pre-arranged, depending on whether they had their own table or the table of the host company when they had agreed. The meetings were 30 minutes long.

On the first day, at the dinner and get-acquainted evening after registration, it was possible to meet the delegates and get information about the company they represent.

On the second day, round table discussions took place with the pre-registered and pre-agreed companies and their representatives. During the discussions, we tried to get a complete picture of the companies in each of the meetings arranged for that day and to present our own company to our (future) partners, highlighting our potential and our professional knowledge. During the conversation we focused on finding out about common interests, whether it is a product to be manufactured that may be required for their product, or if you are looking for new opportunities in the market, looking for new suppliers that can offer more favourable conditions with the same technical content, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Experiences

Our aim was therefore to find as many companies as possible that met one of these criteria, and to contact them as soon as possible after the meeting, in order to expand our customer base and establish a fruitful business opportunity with the companies we met.

For us, this meeting was fruitful and useful, as we were able to have fruitful discussions with the selected companies. Several of the companies we met, and their representatives have already contacted us to establish a successful business partnership as soon as possible.
